v5.... wow...

After 3 weeks of basically living in the office, endless lists of things to finish, a million details to take care of, we launched! When we finally went live, I was so used to working on v5, that it didnt feel like a major accomplishment, I still had-- have, a million things to fix, but we could launch as it was. That was yestarday at 8pm Toronto time.

We've been working on this since well past xmas, but for the past month, the site has finally started to come together. So for the past 3 weeks, my life consisted of, waking up, taking subway ride home, working for 9+ hours a day, eating sometime in between taht, come home and sleep -- repeat process! Then even more so this past week and a half because we took over our boardroom and made it our working dungeon. In a room with no windows, hours seemed to tick away too fast for the incoming deadline! The number of hours working increased to 11 + a day, to the point when I considered sleeping in the office because I thought going home to be a waste of time. So my point being, we busted our b*tt to finish this! But once the time came there was almost no feeling, except nervousness that things were not going to work properly. But the launch went smooth. No major problems, no major crazyness.

So then, what am I doing awake on a saturday morning after having about 6 hour sleep (I indulged myself in a new book last night, as my reward for working so hard). Well I got up thinking of the things I might have forgotten to do, thinking that there are a million things to fix, and for the first time in weeks I'm seriusly happy, gleeing just to see the site live!

What I did not expect, was an email in my inbox to announce to us that we topped the 90.000 member mark, when at launch time (litle over 14 hours ago) we were sitting at 89.956 members, thats a hugh increase!. And to read some of the comments posted by other members here on tigblogs, stating how happy they are with the new site.

Its the greatest reward ever. It makes the last 2 weeks, and everything we went throuh worth every second. I know of course, that I still have things to fix, detail to change, more things to test, but my energy level is high, my enthusiasm is high and basically I'm just proud of what the team accomplished.

K this is getting long enough.. but i'll try to keep more updates about the revamp process now that we're launchd!
