video - tiroteo en margarita
Related to country: Venezuela

MY ENCOUNTER DURING THE TEN YEARS WAR IN SIERRA LEONE
MY ENCOUNTER DURING THE TEN YEARS WAR IN SIERRA LEONE
My name is jeneba bayoh
I am sixteen years old
Student of the Koidu Girls Secondary School
And a student of the International Education And Resource Network iEARN Sierra Leone Kono Branch
I am a Sierra Leonean by nationality and a kono by tribe

During the year 1996 I was told that a group of people are fighting against the government. And I ask about their names and they told me that the are called the revolutionary united front (RUF). And it was in the year 1998 that rebels entered in our village and burnt our house and we decided to run to the capital city Freetown. In the year 1998 January 6 when the rebels enter in to the city they did something to me which I will never forget, for it was on that day the kill my mother we heard a gun shot by the time I was trying to know about the reason of the gun shot I saw my mother roaming in the pool of blood. And she was crying telling me that she was not going to survive and after the firing I came back and notice that she is dead. For I cry bitterly and before I know I just see some other people coming from the part of the government with short hand and they were having letters in their neck writing that they should go to pa Kabbah the president for new hands.
But I want to thanks God for making me to survive and see this gracious day. And I pray that such thing will never happen again.
